NGOs in the Consideration of Periodic Reports

The States parties to the Covenant must submit a report every five years. The Committee shows a great interest in the input of national NGOs. It therefore recommended that  States make their reports fully public and available to national NGOs well in advance of the Committee’s examination which takes place at public meetings.

African States Parties to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights

As of 26 January 2010 the follwing African states have ratified the Convenant:
