Rights of indigenous people
All rights spelled out by the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and by the two Human Rights Covenants (on Civil and Political Rights as well as on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights) are the rights of all indigenous people. The same applies to all other Human Rights treaties.
In cases of violations of these human rights (explained here), all indigenous people may turn to any of the organs or institutions that are described under "Legal instruments" in case of an infringement on their human rights.
In cases where rights of indigenous people as such are infringed upon, the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous people may be invoked.
