Rights of people with disabilities

All rights spelled out by the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and by the two Human Rights Covenants (on Civil and Political Rights as well as on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights) are the rights of all people with disabilities. The same applies to all other Human Rights treaties.

In cases of violations of these human rights (explained here), all people with disabilities may turn to any of the organs or institutions that are described under "Legal instruments" in case of an infringement on their human rights.

In cases where rights of people with disabilities as such are infringed upon, the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities may be invoked.
